The post Angela Hao is Drawing Japanese Storefronts She Found on Google Maps appeared first on MyTrendTales.
]]>Hao’s illustrations attracted over 120,000 followers to her Instagram page, and they prove you don’t have to see something in person to fully capture its beauty. She uses Google Street View to discover quirky storefronts in Tokyo, Osaka, and other Japanese cities and uses them as inspiration for her amazing works of art.
Hao’s illustrations look straight out of Studio Ghibli movies, and she enjoys adding her own touch of magic to each one. They’re not carbon copies of the buildings she stumbled upon on Google Street View because she enjoys adding all sorts of new elements to the mix to breathe new life into each drawing and make it unique, sometimes even combining the parts of different stores to create a new look.
“I also enjoy changing the storefront structures or combining parts from different stores together to create a new look. Sometimes when I look at a reference photo, I would imagine what if this Raman store was actually a bookstore. I would then start to ‘remodel’ the store on my canvas,” she told My Modern Met.

]]>Moritz grew up surrounded by nature and developed a fondness for mushrooms during his childhood years. They became more than a hobby for this artist, who gained advanced knowledge about the world of fungi by becoming a mushroom coach at the German Society for Mycology and a certified course instructor at the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health.
He enjoys immersing himself in the fascinating world of mushrooms and getting inspired by the magic of the forest almost every day. They’re the driving force behind his fascinating works of art, made with a wide variety of mushrooms of different species, arranged in perfect harmony to create something breathtaking.
In addition to sharing his art with 50,000 Instagram followers, Schmid also hosts workshops and retreats in his local area near Berlin. He hopes his body of work will infect people with his “enthusiasm for mushrooms and create a space where you can experience nature in a whole new way.”

]]>Kelsey loved visiting theme parks for as long as she can remember, and she found a way to make each visit to Disney World extra special. She started crafting ears that perfectly fit her clothes, and she decided to start making her outfits even more elaborate after she created a pair with old bedsheets.
She used the leftover fabrics to put together a matching dress, and the upcycling process brought her so much joy that she simply couldn’t stop. Her fellow Disney fans were obsessed with her dress, and many of them wanted one just like it, so she decided to start making more.
She started searching for second-hand bedsheets with her favorite characters at local thrift stores and decided to master her sewing skills. This eventually led to the launch of her fashion brand Rope Drop Design, which sells unique, made-to-order dresses, skirts, shirts, and jackets inspired by the Disney classics we all know and love.

]]>With over 400,000 followers on TikTok and 75,000 on Instagram, Viral Interviews is one of the most popular pages of its kind on both social media platforms. Popular culture is the main topic of these street interviews, and those taking part are usually asked to choose between their favorite actors, singers, movies, and beyond.
Viral Interviews became a true phenomenon after an interview with a woman who delivered the iconic quote, “because of what she’s been through and she’s still singing” when picking Selena Gomez. Her comment became a meme after millions of people watched the clip where she constantly kept switching her opinion and choosing new celebrities.

The rest of Viral Interviews follow a similar formula, letting people keep one celebrity in rotation until a better option comes along. These street interviews became so popular that several celebrities agreed to take part, including the singers Charli XCX, Nina Nesbitt, and Griff.

]]>Rybalo is a talented fashion illustrator from Ukraine, who enjoyed drawing since childhood, but only decided to seriously pursue this passion in the age of social media. Instagram made her realize she could develop her skills and turn her hobby into a viable side hustle, and she eventually attracted over 40,000 followers to her page.
Rybalo decided to mix her love for art with her obsession with the entertainment industry, and this turned out to be the winning formula behind her success. Her Instagram page blew up once she started working on illustrations inspired by red carpet fashion from major festivals, award shows, concerts, film premiers, and beyond.
She used her illustrations to honor some of her favorite celebrities, from Zendaya and Rihanna to Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez, but celebrity-themed illustrations are not her only talent. Rybalo is fascinated by fashion in general, and many of her illustrations see her coming up with her own designs that would fit right in on the red carpet.

]]>Tudor has come a long way since graduating from the University of Leeds, and she went on to work with several high-profile brands. She also used the power of social media to put her illustrations on the map and developed a distinctive personal style along the way.
Tudor finds inspiration everywhere she looks, and her art helps her rinse herself of negative emotions. She’s a huge fan of absurd humor and painfully honest punchlines, and her love for all things quirky shines through her relatable illustrations, that have the power to change the way you look at the world and yourself.
Animals are regularly featured in Tudor’s illustrations, and that’s not a coincidence. She believes that “anthropomorphism makes it far easier to look at ourselves honestly” and she uses cute animal illustrations to make ugly feelings more digestible.
Tudor’s illustrations introduced us to many different animal characters over the years, but she’s now best known as the creator behind her signature Pink Rabbits comics.

]]>Tahvya Krok is a versatile nail artist based in South Pasadena, California, and she spent years pushing the boundaries of nail art. She sees it as an amazing way for people to express themselves, and that’s why she’s so open to experimenting with different motifs and styles.
“You have ten tiny little canvases, and the possibilities are almost endless. I’ve done everything from sculpted, 3D, little things to realistic food and animals, patterns, bright colors, muted colors, lots of different animes, popular artists,” she told Spectrum News.
Each of her tiny manicures is a true work of art, but her toenail designs are truly next level. The one that became the biggest hit was the eyeball toenails she created for one of her celebrity clients, producer and songwriter Benny Blanco.
Krok’s collaboration with Blanco didn’t end there, and she crafted many equally quirky looks for the Grammy-nominated artist, featuring everything hand-drawn pickles, watermelons, kiwis, and everything in between.

]]>Charlotte was still in high school when she started working on her ceramic art, and she eventually became a barista following graduation. She didn’t do this job for too long because her online store Charlotte’s Clay Shoppe was doing so well that she decided to commit to it full-time.
Charlotte mostly worked with polymer clay and made mini food charms at the start of her journey, but her creations evolved as the years went by. Fashion and makeup from the ’60s heavily influenced her art, along with the rubber hose animation style.
Charlotte could’ve easily focused on any subject she wanted, but she decided her art should take the shape of her favorite comfort foods. Trinkets boxes shaped like pancakes, cheesecakes, cinnamon buns, donuts, waffles, burgers, and picnic essentials are among her most popular products, and they look just as delicious as the real thing. Charlotte often finds herself craving these foods while making their ceramic versions, and she tends to treat herself to the real food once the batch is over.

]]>Franklin started her company in 2020, and she always wanted her business to serve the goth and spiritual community. Her bouquets are instantly recognizable because they usually feature two main elements – crystals and dark art.
“I consider myself to be an alternative florist. Every bouquet I make is made with real, preserved, and dried flowers. I also use real, high-quality crystals in every piece I create… I specifically love to serve the gothic community, but I will create anything that sparks inspiration,” she writes on her official website.
Ronnie Flower Floral’s bouquets were a part of many weddings or elopements over the years, helping happy couples make their big day extra special. Franklin mostly specializes in custom orders, but she also enjoys making pop-culture-themed bouquets for her own pleasure.
We’ve seen her pay homage to some of her favorite horror movies with her show-stopping floral art. Evil Dead Rise, The Exorcist, and Sweeney Todd served as her source of inspiration, but she also paid homage to animated classics Corpse Bride and Coraline.
