Camp Hollow is one of the quirkiest ceramic brands you’ll ever stumble upon, and their porcelain creations have the power to transport you to a different world. They became a true sensation thanks to their signature porcelain cake toppers, meant to capture the enchanting beauty of the natural world.
Camp Hollow is a porcelain brand based in Utah, and its founder JK Dreamer is on a quest to create a space where others can find solace, inspiration, and a touch of whimsy. Memories of joyful moments spent in nature inspired him to start Camp Hallow with a group of fellow artists who share his vision.
Camp Hollow’s creations usually take the shape of animals crafted and hand-painted in perfect detail, ranging from ducks and owls to deer and foxes. They take the shape of candles, necklaces, and tiny figurines, but this brand is definitely best known for its candle holders that can bring the magic of nature to any cake.
Despite their tiny size, a lot of work goes into each of these pieces, and it usually takes between three and four months to produce them.
“We begin with a concept for a new nature-inspired necklace, figurine, or cake topper, and start the design process with pencil sketches and digital drawings. From there, we sculpt the design from clay, a mold is produced by our partners who pour a ceramic slip cast. The pieces are then fired, painted, glazed, and fired again,” reads the brand’s official website.
