Alexey Kondakov is a talented Ukrainian artist who takes an interesting spin on classical art. Kondakov creates collages in which he uses characters from classical artworks and places them in situations from contemporary life.
In Kondakov’s works, the figures from the paintings of William Adolphe Bouguereau, Frederic Leighton, Herbert James Draper, and others, use public transportation, go to night clubs, and even play basketball.
With clever placement and using photo editing software, Kondakov manages to make these characters naturally fit in their modern surroundings.
