We dare you not to fall in love with Hollie Fuller’s characters. Full of spunk, her distinct-looking characters (depicted doing everyday activities) have an undeniable cheekiness to them.
Based in Lincolnshire, UK, Fuller says she’s inspired and influenced by people, as well as the mundanities of everyday life. “I’d describe my style as playful, silly, positive and always rooted in character”, she told Creative Review. “I’m not influenced by one creative specifically,” she adds. saying she finds inspiration in various places, “from galleries and museums to really mundane things like people waiting for a bus. I’m a big people watcher so that often feeds into my illustrations.”
Talking about her artistic background Fuller says she’s loved to draw for as long as she can remember, which was a good enough reason to study fine art, photography, and illustration at Leeds Arts University. Her dream project? Any opportunity to draw lots of characters doing lots of things.
