“People I’ve Loved” Illustrations Will Make You Feel Seen

There’s something truly magical about coming across art that truly speaks to your soul and makes you feel seen and understood. That’s exactly what you’ll find on the Instagram page People I’ve Loved, run by a group of artists whose illustrations explore the complexity of human emotions.

People I’ve Loved was founded by Carissa Potter, and it now includes a group of artists “in search of the miraculous-yet-tragic definition of what it means to exist in this time and space.” After launching this visual brand and printing workshop in Oakland, California, Potter worked with many major brands, including Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.

According to the brand’s official website, People I’ve Loved illustrations explore nostalgic thoughts, buried longings, and hopes for the future. They embrace the whole range of emotions, making space for both joy and tears, because all these feelings are important in equal measure and they’re what makes us human.

In addition to sharing their illustrations with 900,000 followers on Instagram, People I’ve Loved is selling greeting cards, prints, journals, pins, and other gifts and objects inspired by their work. Potter also published three books of her illustrations, titled I Like You, I Love You, It’s Okay to Feel Things Deeply, and How to Heal From Heartbreak (Or At Least Feel Less Broken).
