]]>Murphy has been a commercial artist for many years and he’s had a love/hate relationship with the advertising world; this collection is his way of showing it. He originally wanted to create “a clever comment upon the propaganda advertising deals to an insecure public,” as Creative Boom writes, but realized that topic was already covered many times by artists from Warhol to Banksy. He instead came up with the idea to transform the gallery into “imaginary artwork advertising imaginary products produced by imaginary clients” and showcase his illustration through this filter.
