What would you do if all of a sudden time travel became a thing? Would you visit the old Hollywood? Or maybe return in time to see an iconic concert? What about seeing the dinosaurs?

These things might be high on everyone’s list, but the first thing most people would probably do is visiting themselves at some point in the past. They might want to give the young selves some advice, tell them how they did in life, or tip them off about some major events. Or maybe just snap a selfie and return with it to the present.

Digital artist Ard Gelinck imagines such a scenario in his highly popular photo editing series. Using the magic of Photoshop, Gelinck manages to reunite celebrities with their younger selves and has them posing for a photograph.

While creating his works, Gelinck uses different points in time. For example, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger is standing next to himself as a child. Bruce Springsteen, on the other hand, is reunited with himself from the start of his iconic career.

Gelinck creates these shots by taking two photos and merging them into one. But he does it so good, aligning the tones, colors, and even the body language, that you could swear they are real if you didn’t know better.

Check some of his works below.
