Artist Rich McCor, known on social media as Paperboyo, is transforming buildings and famous landmarks into amusing scenes with strategically placed paper cutouts.

For example, McCor will place a cutout of a grandma with knitting needles over a patchwork field, making it look like they are in the process of knitting.

His other works include transforming a plain pink sun umbrella into a gorgeous flamingo, turning a ski lift into a movie tape, and recreating a poster from Netflix’s hit series The Queen’s Gambit using a checkered building.

McCor initially started this cool project when he decided he wanted to make his Instagram profile stand out and turned to his paper art skills as a way of doing that. Since then, his works have become quite popular, with his Paperboyo Instagram page being followed by 530K people.

Nowadays, McCor plans his travels around his art, always looking to use new destinations and landmarks as inspiration for more paper artworks. But that doesn’t mean that he will disregard moments of random inspiration.

“I still take my cutting board and tools with me though because quite often I’ll come across something whilst I’m out there that will inspire an idea, “he shared in one of his interviews.
