We normally use coffee as our morning drink but for artist like Nuria Salcedo, it is used as a creative medium for her artwork.
Based in Valencia, Spain, Salcedo creates stunning portraits using coffee as paint. Each piece starts with a sketch in brown pencil and once completed, the artist begins the coffee-coloring process. Then, she goes back in to add more details with brown pencil.
“I spend so many hours working on the details,” she told Martha Stewart Living in 2017. “For me, they are what make my work more special.”
Her beautiful paintings prove that coffee is worth more than just your ordinary drink. Scroll down to see her beautiful coffee portraits.
