Using various costumes, makeup, and facial expressions,\nJapanese artist Tomoko Sawada clones herself thousands of times, and her\nself-portraits are really jaw-dropping. \n\n\n\n
\u201cMy first encounter with photography was when I was a\nchild,\u201d Sawada told The Kitab. \u201cI\nstarted making photographic work and self-portrait during my photography class\nin the university.\u201d\n\n\n\n \u201cMy works are mainly (not only) \u2018self-portraiture\u2019 because it is the best way to explore my ideas and express my thinking,\u201d she shared. \u201cSelf-portraiture can visualize and organize my ideas.\u201d \n\n\n\n Her unique portraits explores the meaning of individuality and identity in an age where our different personas show throughout several outlets. \n\n\n\n
