Carolyn Gavin grew up in South Africa and became a graphic designer in \u201cold-fashioned way.\u201d She\u2019s an illustrator, painter, and surface pattern designer who works in gouache, watercolor and vector to reflect the exciting beauty she sees in the world. She learned painting from artist Nina Campbell-Quine.\n\n\n\n

She has travelled through Europe and ultimately settled in Canada where she lives in a century-old Victorian house in downtown Toronto with her family. \n\n\n\n

Gavin\u2019s work is inspired by nature, her travels, the serenity of the country as well as the hectic city life. She\u2019s a designer for Ecojot \u2013 paper products made entirely from old waste paper.  The business was founded by Gavin and his brother Mark. \n\n\n\n
