Ginnie Hsu’s illustrations focus on the small joys of life. Whether it’s a yoga practice in your living room, a nice dinner with some friends, or simply petting your dog – Hsu’s art will put a positive spin on it, reminding you to be grateful for the simple things in life.

Originally from Taiwan, and currently based in Starkville, Mississippi, Hsu holds a BA in visual communication and an MA in design and visual communication from the University of Texas at Arlington. “I live in Mississippi by a wildlife refuge where I teach, illustrate, and design,” she said in an interview with Jackie O My Blog. “I love people, yoga, the farmer’s market, cooking, making things, and travel.”

But even though she studied illustration formally later in life, she admits her love of art began fairly early. “I’ve been drawing since I was 5 and have been making things,” she said. “I don’t consider myself having an illustration style, but my friends say I have one, lol… So, I guess I do. I just keep drawing and trying out things I like to use and I don’t like.”

Take a look at some of her uplifting creations in the gallery below.
