Looking from afar, the works of Cape Town-born artist Danielle Clough looks like paintings made by using an unusual painting style. But when you get closer, you realize that it’s not the paint you see on the canvas but colorful threads. \n\n\n\n

I still love this print from one of my earliest pieces from 2016. I made this an edition of 66, and they were 600x600mm. I kept number 6, and the remaining are all in homes around the world. Majority of my prints are limited edition and when they are done, they are done. It\u2019s a way of creating value, but also making my work more accessible. My originals are much more limited because of how fast (or slow) my hands can move. Thank you to everyone who has a piece of my work in their lives, be it on paper, fabric, shoes or metal. #embroidery #bordados #stevezissou #portrait #needlepainting
