Towards the end of each year, artist David Regone teams up with internet brands Subway Creatures and WhatIsNewYork to create illustrations highlighting the best and worst things that happened in New York City during that year. In the Subway Creatures illustration, Regone pays tribute to euthanized rescue squirrel Peanut, makes fun of NYPD autonomous security robots, and captures an array of scenes often witnessed in NYC\u2019s subway, like street performers, people carrying pets in bags, and fare evaders.\n\n\n\n
